Brazil secures market access in Angola, South Korea, Mexico and UK
The Brazilian government is pleased with the recent sanitary approvals for agricultural market access in four countries, reinforcing international confidence in Brazil's sanitary and phytosanitary standards.
Brazil has secured authorization from the United Kingdom and Mexico to export Dried Distillers' Grains (DDG) without the need for phytosanitary certification, which will help expand the use of grain by-products in international markets and support Brazil's biofuels industry.
Mexico has also approved the import of alfalfa hay and timothy hay in flour and pellet form from Brazil, without requiring phytosanitary certification, for use in animal feed.
Additionally, sanitary authorities in Angola, South Korea, Mexico, and the United Kingdom have approved the import of two other Brazilian products: dried clove flowers and coconut fiber.
With these new approvals, Brazilian agribusiness has reached its 138th market access in 2024, totaling 216 new opportunities since the beginning of 2023.
These accomplishments are the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
