Brazil secures agricultural market access in Costa Rica
The Brazilian government welcomes Costa Rica’s decision to recognize Brazil’s phytosanitary certification for the export of common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris).
In 2024, Brazil exported more than USD 272 million in agricultural products to Costa Rica, with key exports including cereals, flours and preparations, the soybean complex, and forestry products.
This latest approval marks Brazil’s fourth new market access in 2025, bringing the total to 304 new trade opportunities across 63 countries since early 2023.
These achievements result from the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
