Brazil marks third market access for agricultural products to Peru in less than six months
The Brazilian government has announced that Peru has authorized the export of bovine and swine blood products from Brazil for use in animal feed.
These blood products, which are byproducts of the agribusiness industry, are used as ingredients in animal feed to enhance its nutritional value.
This authorization marks the third market access for Brazilian agricultural products in Peru in less than six months. Last year, Brazilian agricultural exports to Peru exceeded $724 million, with significant exports including forest products, meat, and soy. In the first quarter of 2024, approximately $208 million worth of goods were traded.
From January to May 2024, Brazil accessed 46 markets in 27 countries, totaling 124 new markets in 51 countries since the start of President Lula's third term.
These results stem from the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
