Brazil gains fifth market access in Colombia within a year
The Brazilian government has received sanitary approval from the Colombian government for the export of Brazilian coconut seeds to Colombia.
This marks the fifth market access in Colombia within a year, adding to the authorizations for Brazilian exports of hydrolyzed poultry protein, pork-derived oils and fats, fish meal, and fish oil.
In 2023, Colombia imported over $1.37 billion in agricultural products from Brazil.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved its 62nd market access this year, totaling 140 markets in 51 countries since the beginning of President Lula's third term.
The access of this new market results from coordinated efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
