Brazil celebrates two new agricultural market accesses in Nigeria
The Brazilian government has received authorization from Nigeria's health authority to export live cattle and buffalo for breeding, as well as milk and dairy products, to Nigeria.
In 2023, Nigeria imported over USD 875 million worth of Brazilian agribusiness products, making it an important trading partner for Brazil in Africa. This new market access not only reflects confidence in Brazil's sanitary control system but also offers national livestock farmers future opportunities to expand their business, considering Africa's significant potential for demographic expansion and economic growth.
With this announcement, Brazil achieves its 71st market access this year, totaling 149 new markets in 52 countries since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements are the result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
