Brazil celebrates three new market accesses in Canada
The Brazilian government has announced that Canada has authorized the export of pet chews made from poultry, goat, and sheep from Brazil.
These new market accesses are expected to boost trade between Brazil and Canada, reflecting international confidence in Brazil's national sanitary control system. These products join the list of Brazilian exports to Canada, which already includes gelatin and collagen of swine origin, approved in March.
In 2023, Brazilian agribusiness exports to Canada exceeded $1.05 billion. In the first half of 2024, Brazil exported $518 million worth of agricultural products to Canada.
With this announcement, Brazil has achieved its 85th market access this year, totaling 163 new markets in 54 countries since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements result from the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
