Brazil celebrates third market access in Egypt in 2024
The Brazilian government has received notification from Egyptian authorities, granting Brazil permission to export bone-in beef to Egypt.
In 2023, Brazilian agricultural exports to Egypt exceeded $1.73 billion, with more than $384 million attributed to animal protein sales. During the first half of this year, Brazil has already exported over $1.31 billion in agricultural products to Egypt. In March, the Egyptian market also opened to Brazilian goat and sheep meat, along with related meat products and offal.
This new authorization marks the 91st market access for Brazilian agribusiness this year, bringing the total to 169 accesses across 56 destinations since the start of 2023.
These achievements are the result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
