Brazil celebrates tenth market access in Canada this year
The Brazilian government has announced that Brazil is now authorized to export cassava meal, dried clove flowers, macadamia nuts, mate herb, and dehydrated citrus pulp to Canada without the need for phytosanitary certification.
In addition, Canada has approved the import of several other Brazilian agricultural products in 2024, including hay for animal feed, coconut fiber, porcine-origin gelatin and collagen, chewables from poultry, goat, and bovine sources, as well as dried distiller grains (DDG or DDGS).
In 2024, Brazil's agribusiness sector secured its 117th market access, bringing the total to 195 new market entries across 58 destinations since the start of 2023.
These accomplishments reflect the collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reflecting Brazil’s commitment to expanding and diversifying its presence in international markets.
