Brazil celebrates sixth market access in Mexico in 2024
Mexico will soon start importing birds from Brazil for exhibition and breeding purposes. These zoo birds, bred in controlled environments, are intended for scientific research and tourism.
Mexico is currently the 8th largest destination for Brazilian agricultural products, with exports reaching $1.82 billion in the first seven months of this year.
This latest authorization adds to the approvals obtained in 2024 for Brazilian exports to Mexico, including donkey and poultry genetic material, pork pepsin, poultry oil, and fish oil for animal feed.
With this new authorization, Brazilian agribusiness has secured its 103rd market access of the year, totaling 181 accesses across 58 destinations since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements are the result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
