Brazil celebrates second market access in Australia in 2024
The Brazilian government has received sanitary approval from the Australian government to export shrimp and shrimp meat. This new market will enhance trade flow between the two countries, reflecting international confidence in Brazil's sanitary control system.
In February of this year, Australia had already opened its market for the importation of Brazilian fish.
In the first five months of 2024, exports of agricultural products to the Australian market surpassed USD 111 million.
With the announcement of this new product, Brazil achieves its 78th market opening in 2024, totaling 156 market accesses in 53 countries since the beginning of 2023.
This achievement results from coordinated efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
