Brazil celebrates new market accesses in Panama and Angola
The Brazilian government has received sanitary approvals from Panama and Angola for the export of agricultural products.
Panama has authorized the import of poultry, pork, and offal from Brazil, while Angola has approved the import of live sheep and goats for breeding, along with their genetic material.
These new market accesses are expected to boost trade with these significant markets, reflecting the high level of international confidence in Brazil's sanitary control system.
In the first seven months of 2024, Brazil exported over $55 million in agricultural products to Panama, with forest products, cereals, flours, and preparations being the primary exports. During the same period, Brazilian exports to Angola reached over $211 million, focusing on meats and products from the sugar-alcohol complex.
With these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved 99 market approvals in 2024, bringing the total to 177 across 58 destinations since the start of 2023.
These achievements are the result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
