Brazil celebrates new market access in Chile
The Brazilian government has received authorization from the Chilean government to export edible offals from poultry, ruminants, and swine to Chile. This approval maximizes the utilization of slaughtered animals and generates additional revenue for the sector, adding value.
Last year, Chile approved the import of various Brazilian products, including fresh papaya and genetic material from turkeys and quails, among others. Between 2022 and 2023, Brazilian agricultural exports to Chile increased by 6.5%, rising from USD 1.76 billion to USD 1.87 billion. In the first five months of this year, these exports reached USD 733 million, with 51% of this value coming from the meat sector.
In 2024, Brazil has gained access to 74 markets in 31 countries, totaling 152 new markets in 52 countries since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements result from the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
