The documentary video produced by ABC shows some of the work carried out in the island country as a result of this cooperation with Brazil, which culminated in the publication of the 1st Cape Verdean Sign Language Dictionary.
In addition to the production and publication of the dictionary, specialists from the UFSM trained four trainers of trainers in Deafblindness and Assistive Technology; another 50 multipliers in Transcribing and Adapting Braille Material; as well as setting up three “Resource Rooms” on the islands of Santo Antão, Fogo and Santiago, which enabled teachers in these schools to have a support room to develop complementary activities for students with special needs.
In one of the versions of the video “School for All - Cape Verde”, ABC included an interpreter of Cape Verdean Sign Language, in yet another action of inclusion, which is the main objective of the work carried out in this project.
